Fort Worth
Fort Worth Zoo- 7 Eurolink machines. Six are penny presser machines and 1 for quarters! You will need 32 quarters and 10 pennies or $ 8.10 to purchase one of each issue.
Main Entrance - Just behind the ticket sales booth there is a Quarter Crusher Machine which has three different "Zoo Baby" designs (one of which was labeled "out of order"). This machine takes 4 quarters ($1). I got the giraffe and leopard. Head through the main gate and go toward the left past the large "Safari Village" eating area. There is a single penny machine across from the Aquarium. It is a vertical picture of a penguin titled "Penguin Island". Continue down the path passing the "Rock House" on your right. Stop at the "Zoo Creek Cafe". There is a machine near the restaurant door that has 3 different designs. One horizontal "African Savannah"Logo, a vertical Rhino "Go Wild!" and a horizontal "Raptor Canyon" Logo. Continue down the path to the Herpetarium (Reptiles Bldg.) Just inside the door there is a single penny machine that has a horizontal "Komodo Dragons". Continue down the path into the Texas area. Ahead is the "Yellow Rose Saloon". A single penny machine is on the porch near the soda machines. The design is vertical and has an Ape on it. It says "You'll Go Wild!" This penny is the only penny in the park that has the new zoo logo on it. (Last time I came to the zoo, which was a few years ago, this location had a penny machine that pressed a longhorn design. I was not able to find that design there today.) Now, go back the way you came since the Texas area is a dead end. At the "Rock House", go toward the left through "RaptorCanyon" and "Bird Row". You're looking for "Lions,Tigers and Bears!" in the "Asian Falls" area. Halfway through the attraction (at the tigers), you will come across a 3 penny machine. There is a vertical lion, vertical bear and a horizontal tiger. Once you exit the "Asian Falls" area, go toward left. Between the Elephants and the Giraffes is a restroom. Outside the restroom are soda machines. Hidden between the machines is a single penny machine that presses a horizontal "Elephant".
Just a quick note. When travelling to the Dallas/Ft Worth area, the
Fort Worth Zoo is much nicer than the Dallas Zoo. There are many trees
and shady areas to rest and the animal displays are very good! Outside
the zoo, there is a "Mini Train" to ride on. Admission to the zoo is $7/adult, $4.50/child, $3/seniors and $3 to park. Half price on Wednesdays. My total safari cost me around $20 and took me about 2 and a half hours.
